My dearest,
Your words are ever present
My hair is red so I don’t need more colour
I should keep it subtle
Then you told me to paint my nails red
A contradiction
So, today I gave myself a gel manicure
Is red even my colour?
It might be a mix of classy and overpowering
And for sure I am still practicing
This is the first time I did my own nails
Still they are prepped and shining
I won’t even see you
